A Matrix Thinking update.
1. In August Roger will be delivering a full week of workshops in Ecuador, included in this is a session with the senior Ministers of the Ecuadorian Government.
2. In October Roger has been asked to present at the International EFQM Conference in Paris that will include more than 600 delegates from all over the world. This will be followed up with a workshop in Belfast later the same week.
3. "Think Again", Roger's new book on process innovation is now available and many orders have been received. Don't be deceived and assume that process innovation simply applies just to manufacturing processes; indeed just driving to work is a process. Interestingly this is covered in the book in some small way, so too the issue of ever increasing budgetary requirements even for stagnant organisations - why is this so?
4. Roger has increased his travels even more of late with overseas engagements virtually every month. Late last year it was Europe, including one of the major banks of Turkey where some 40 Matrix Thinking trainers were upskilled for delivering matrix thinking right across the bank.
5. In February and March 2008 it was Singapore and Malaysia, twice. In April it's the USA, (Chicago) then South America for two conferences and workshop events then back to Puerto Rico where an official launch of "Think Again" will take place.
6. In May it's Bali, Queensland, NSW then Victoria, and back to the USA in June. This is exciting for the growth of Matrix Thinking as its strength builds increasingly more and more both at home and internationally.
7. In Singapore and Malaysia a major company has trained some 300 people in Matrix Thinkng and some real 'breakthrough' products have been created. Obviously confidentiality prevents their discoloure, but the work was all in the services sector. Who was it that said that innovation of service companies is difficult - not so, we have living proof.
8. In September a major Asia Executive Group is hosting a Matrix Thinking conference in Malaysia followed by a closed workshop. The follow up will be an open event in Kuala Lumpa in October.
9. The "La Salle Matrix Thinking Course Notes and Workshop Session Manual" has now been revised, refined and updated yet again. The new edition includes further information on KPI's, Management Reporting, Value Chain players, Embedding Innovation and Innovation Circles. The manual now also has extensive content on innovating service industries, a must for most western ecomomies that are now heavily service based.
In addition an Innovation capability survey is part and parcel of this manual which now runs to over 133 pages.
10. Some Matrix Thinking products are now available on Amazon where regular orders are received from all over the world.
